Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
This website is operated for Colourco Holdings (Pty) Ltd, trading as MarProZep (registration number 1986/000336/07), 26 Plantation Road, Eastleigh, Edenvale, 1609 (“MarProZep”, “we”, “us”). We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice.
What we collect
- When you request a quote or contact us: your name, company, email address, telephone number, the product you are asking about and your message.
- Technical information: your IP address and browser details, which we use to keep the website secure and to block spam.
- How you use the website: pages visited, how you arrived at the site and links clicked, collected through Google Analytics cookies (see Cookies below).
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or quote request and to supply products you order.
- To keep records of enquiries and sales, including for accounting and tax purposes.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
We use your information only for these purposes. We do not sell it, and we will not send you marketing messages unless you have agreed to receive them. Requesting a quote does not sign you up for marketing.
Who we share it with
- iWitness-SA (Pty) Ltd, which builds and runs this website on our behalf as our operator under POPIA. It receives a copy of enquiries so that it can manage and report on our online sales channel, and may use your details only for that purpose.
- Our website host, which stores the website and its records in South Africa.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics (see below).
We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.
Information sent outside South Africa
Google Analytics data is processed by Google on servers that may be outside South Africa. Google is bound by data protection obligations that offer a level of protection comparable to POPIA. Enquiry records themselves are kept on our South African hosting.
Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…)
to count visits and see which pages are useful. They do not tell us who you are.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s
Analytics opt-out add-on.
The website works normally without them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and sales records for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, normally no longer than five years after your last contact with us. After that we delete them.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to records is restricted to the people who need it, and our operator is contractually bound to keep your information confidential and secure.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and ask for a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
- object to us processing your information, or withdraw consent you have given;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
